When people ask me about Purim, I usually explain that it’s very similar to Halloween, only the treats part is reversed. Instead of asking people for something, you go from house to house giving them something instead. It kind of reminds me of the part in John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address when he said “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
